Living and property in Aksu

Aksu is one of Antalya's central districts and lies to the east of the city. Known for its farmland, greenhouses and large plots, the district has been growing with new housing developments in recent years. The ancient city of Perge lies within its boundaries, and on the Kundu side there is a beach and hotel zone.

Property options

New housing developments and villa complexes stand out in and around Altıntaş, while detached houses with gardens and farmland are typical further inland. The district offers options for those looking for more space and quieter surroundings than in the city centre.

What to check before you buy

  • Property registered as "tarla" (field) on the tapu (title deed) is not zoned building land. Do not make any payment before obtaining the zoning status (imar durumu) in writing from the municipality.
  • The division of agricultural land and building on it are restricted by law; when buying a shared (hisseli) field, make your right of use clear in the contract.
  • For plots near ancient cities and archaeological areas, research the boundaries of the protected heritage site and the decisions of the heritage conservation board.
  • For villas and detached houses, check the building permit, the iskân (occupancy permit) and whether the building matches the approved plans.
